DEFINITION: EOMONTH Function Returns The Last Day Of The Month In A Date Serial Number. To Get The Result in A Date You Must Set Format As Date. The EOMONTH Function Can Also Add Or Subtract Months For The Given Valid Date Or A Date Serial Number. EOMONTH Function Also Used To Calculate Amount Deposit Maturity Dates Or Due Amount Dates That Fall On The End Day Of The Month.
IMPLEMENT: Use (+) Number Value For Months To Get Future Date, And (-) Number To Get A Past Date.
SYNTAX:- =EOMONTH (Valid Start_Date Or Date Serial Number, Month)
Example For Future Date:
Suppose We Have A Date 01/05/2020, And We Want To Find The Last Day (In Date) Of May After Four Months Of Date 01/05/2020 Then We Can Use EOMONTH() . Note: For Output Cell You Must Format The Cell As Date Because Excel Return Serial Number Of Date. To Format Select Output Cell > Right Click > Select Date.. Please Check Image Below.
