In This Example We Will Use Sum Function To Sum The Weekly Time Spend For The Work Completion. We Can Use The Sum Function As We Use It Normally To Sum Any Value. The Only Thing We Need To Get Change Here Is The Format Of The Output Result Cell To Prevent The Excel Reset Of Hours For Every 24 Hours. Normally If The Hours Increased By 24 Hours The Excel Reset It 00:00 As Normal Clock Does. Let Understand With Example Suppose We Have Two Time In hh:mm To SUM It 12:30 + 12:30 If We Sum This Two Time We Should Get The Output As 25:00 Hrs. But If You Try To Sum It You Will Get The Output As 01:00. It Because The Excel Automatically Reset The Time After Every 24 Hours. So To Overcome This We Need To Use The Custom Format To Prevent The Excel Auto Reset And To Get The Accurate Result. Please C...
Convert Days Hours Minutes Into Time

Convert Days Hours Minutes Into Time

Date And Time, FORMULAS
Excel Store Date As A Serial Number And Hours Are Fractional Part Of Day. So Single Day Is Stored As A Numeric Value Of 1. It Means That 24Hrs Has The Value = 1, So The 12 Hrs Will Have The Value 12 /24 = 0.5, So If You Want To Convert The Fractional Value To A Decimal Hours Multiply It By 24. So 12 /24 Has The Fractional Value 0.5 And Multiplying It With 24 It Will Return The Decimal Hours That Is 12. So This Way We Calculate The Time In Excel. CLICK TO COPY FORMULACOPY FORMULA The Purpose Of This Example Is To Enter A Days + Hours + Minutes Separately Which Will Calculate The Time In Hours And Minutes And Display The Result As Total Hours. FORMULA:- =A424+IF(B4=24,24,IF(B4>24,(B4/24)24,TIME(B4,0,0)*24))+IF(C4<10,C4/100,IF(C4<=0,0,IF(C4=60,1,IF(C4<...

Convert Cost Into Time in Excel

Date And Time, FORMULAS
Suppose Your Earning Hourly Rate Is $10.00. You Purchased An Item Of Cost $12.00 Now If You Want To Calculate The Time It Will Take You To Earn Those $2.00 Expense Money, We Can Use If Condition With Time Function And A Division Method With 24 Hours Turnaround. So Our Formula Will Be Like This:- FORMULA :- =IF(A3/B3/24 > TIME(1,0,0),(A3/B3/24) -TIME(1,0,0),"") NOTE:- For This Example If Hourly Rate Is Greater Than Purchased Item Rate Formula Will Return Blank. If You Want To Calculate That Too Then Please Use Only This Formula =B47/C47/24. By Division Of A3/B3/24 We Get 00:45:31 As A Time Value, This Means It Is Less Then A Hour So It Won't Calculate As Per This Example. We Have Used IF Condition To Compare The Time Generated By This (A3/B3/24) With Fixed...

Calculate Total Cost Of Your Project On Hourly Rate

Date And Time, FORMULAS
Suppose For Example If There Are 10 Workers At A Construction Plant And Spend 10 Workdays And 8 Working Hours Per Day To Complete. Then To Find The Cost By Hours We Will First Need To Find The Total Number Of Hours. That Is ( Total Workers * Total Working Days * Total Working Hours / Day ). Once We have The Total Number Of Hours We Can Multiply It By Our Hourly Rate. Formula For Full Project Cost :- =A7*B7*C7*D7 Formula For Per Day Cost :- =(A3*B3*C3*D3) /C3 Formula For Per Person Cost :- =(A3*B3*C3*D3) /A3 Formula For Per Hour Cost :- =D3*A3

Calculate Cost On Time Hours And Minutes

Date And Time, FORMULAS
Suppose We Have A List Of Time With Hours And Minute In Excel Cells That Shows The Worked Hours And Minutes In Column A, And In Column B The Hourly Rate For the Worked Hour, Now If We Want To Calculate The Payment Or Say Cost Based On Hours And Minute, We Will Calculate It By Multiplying The HH:MM With 24 And Then Multiply It With The Hourly Rate. That Will Look Like This (=Hours : Minutes * 24 (Hours) * Hourly Rate ). We Multiply HH:MM With 24 Hours Because It Is A Part Of 24 Hours. EXAMPLE :-Let Say There Is HH:MM = 10:00 And Hourly Rate Is $10.00 So Your Payment Or Cost Will Be $100.00. If 10:30 And Hourly Rate Is $10.00 Then Your Payment Will Be $105.00 Make Sure That The Hours And Minutes Are in Proper Decimal Value. By Default As Output The Excel Will Display The Time We Must ...
